Now, you are trying very hard to grow that beard, groom that beard and tame that beard. The reason why you are reading it is because you love your beard and we assure you, you can trust us with it.
Keep it clean – When we say ‘Keep it clean” we don’t mean to only keep the beard in shape but ‘literally’ clean it. People think the face wash or worse, a soap that they use to clean their face will help them in cleaning the beard. Well, surprise, that is not true. Use a nice beard shampoo to clean it and from time to time a scrub to rid it off the facial hair of dead cells.
Moisturize it- You may not like to oil your hair but for the love of beard you will have to. The facial hair often needs oil to condition and moisturize them. The oil not only helps you tame the beard but provide your skin with nutrition for growing a healthy beard.
Pamper- Yes, you do need to pamper yourself and the beard. To have a healthy beard you need to regularly massage it with oil to increase the blood flow and get a healthy beard. As weird as it may sound but you need to comb your beard, it is to get it rid of any dust and dirt.
Diet- If you are a beginner who has never had a beard in the past then it becomes more important to track your diet. The food that you eat has an impact on the growth of your beard. Vitamin a helps repair your skin tissues which leads to a better growth. Vitamin A is present in basic items like milk and eggs. Vitamin C mainly found in citrus fruits like lemon and orange provide with natural moisturizer. Include protein in your diet as it helps in promoting keratin in hair.
Patience- The most important tip is to stay patient when you are dealing with beards. The beard will not grow overnight using any of the products or tips. Give your beard sufficient time to grow before you go for a trim or pick that razor up. The beard in the beginning will grow unevenly but with time I will grow fuller. Once the beard hair is of sufficient length go for a trim.
Trim- You may not want to cut off that beard because you love it too much, but remember, no pain no gain. You need to give your beard a trim after every few weeks. It helps in getting rid of split ends (yes it is a thing) and give you a clean look.
Endurance- You need to have a strong will when trying to grow a beard. It is not an unknown fact that growing beard may lead to some level of itching. It happens because the hair follicles (tiny little pores on your skin from which hair grow) are experiencing change. In order to reduce itchiness make sure you wash your beard well and moisturize it. Remember, itchiness to some extent is normal but if it increases too much or happens to often consult a doctor.
Tools- It is good to get the beard trimmed and handled by someone who is a beard expert but you cannot take their help every time. Make sure you have the right instruments and tools to take care of your beard and trim it from time to time. You will need to learn how to groom yourself if you want to keep that beard for a long time.
Know yourself- It is very important to know yourself by which we mean your needs and the shape of your face. You need to know why you are growing your beard (obviously because you love yourself), is it to follow a trend or because it is something you want. If it is to follow a trend know that every person has different face shape and the trend may not suit you completely. Make alterations as per the need of your face shape.
Love- The last thing on the list is to shower your beard with lots of love. Make your beard feel that it is special to you and it will make you look special. Do not listen to the views of other people, if you like the look then you definitely look good.
